The 180 Tour was recently in Middleburg, PA at Mid-West Middle School and Luray, VA at Page County High School and Luray High School. VOTA was joined with Columbine survivor Crystal Miller. Between the three schools the tour reached out to over 2,000 students. Here are some media clips from the tour.

Columbine survivor to speak about hope at Midd-West High
By Tricia Pursell
The Daily Item
As part of the national “180 Tour,” Crystal Miller will share her testimony of surviving the shootings and a message of purposeful living, along with the music of Vota, during an assembly program for Midd-West students on Monday.
The 180 Tour will perform an additional 90-minute evening concert program, free and open to the public, in the Middleburg Middle School gymnasium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7 p.m.
Twelve students and one teacher at Columbine High in Columbine, Colo., were shot and killed by two students on April 20, 1999.
Local tour promoter David Moyer Jr., of Sunbury, said he first learned of the tour when he attended a Vota concert in Tipton, Blair County.
“I remembered how difficult being a teenager was and is,” Moyer said. “I saw many of my friends make bad choices in high school. I wanted to share hope with these young adults. I wanted them to know that the choices they make today have a lot to do with who they will become tomorrow.“
Moyer donated some of his own money, and gathered donations from several individuals and area businesses, making the special evening concert event free.
“Crystal and the band have a heart for young people,” Moyer said. “However, the message will challenge people of all ages.“
The 180 Tour began in Florida in January 2006, and was co-founded by Bryan Olson, lead singer of Vota. Through some networking, Miller was added to the team.
Since then, the tour has been to more than 20 states, as well as Europe, Canada and Mexico. To date, more than 200 assemblies have been held.
“We try not to measure it with numbers,” said tour manager Brandon Spinazzola, “but we really try to measure it by the quality of it.“
The school assembly, he said, is strictly motivational and educational. The evening concert, he said, allows them to share their faith.
“That’s really the source behind all of it,” Spinazzola said, “to share what the Lord’s done with our lives, to share the gospel with the students.“
“I believe this is a great way to educate teens on school, life, and interacting positively with each other,” said Pastor Arden Steiner, whose Woodland Community Church in Middleburg will be assisting at the concert.
“With so much trying to grab the attention and influence our young people, I believe this event will be an opportunity to build a positive foundation for building relationships and helping kids to truly care for each other,” he added.
He also alluded to a recent vehicle accident, which claimed the lives of two Midd-West High School students.
“Many people forget just three or four weeks after an event like that accident, but I guarantee our young people have not forgotten,” he said. “I am praying this tour and concert will help everyone continue to move forward.”Thanks for everyone who came out to attend these events. We had a great time. For anyone who wants more information on The 180 Tour. Please feel free to contact their representative at http://www.180tour.com/booking .
